How do I get Minecraft Windows 10 Edition for FREE! (Mojang News post)

This is an unintentional posting. There's no redeem button on the Mojang account pages right now. I'm guessing it will be available by the time of launch.

Edit: The redeem button is now accessible for me and a lot of other people! Make sure you check! http://i.imgur.com/9j8pupC.png

It's a pity for their support department.

I've reached a redeem button on microsofts account and billing page but it claims to have an error. Is there a deadline for redemption for this redemption?

Windows 10 will be available "today"/ "tomorrow" depending on where you live. I would imagine that the button will be available at 12:01 Wednesday morning Sweden time.

Also not seeing a Redeem button. I can't wait until tomorrow!

For those who require Windows 10:

Manual installation is now available

Direct Links

32bit exe

64bit exe

If you have an addon that allows you to force https, open it in ie as the link is http only.

Instructions:

Get the tool. WZJXZZ

Run it and go through the steps to allow you to format the USB drive or disk to run the installation.

Start the installer from the drive on which you first installed it.

It will install automatically and then activate.

You can also save an ISO to use in the future however, you must perform an in-place update to ensure that your key is activated.

I have tested the beta and it works perfectly.

I just downloaded it. It's amazing how well-optimized the game is. My computer's fans don't bother to start, and the CPU is almost completely idle all the time.

Are there differences in the gameplay?

It should work great on mobile so you can expect it to perform equally great on PC.

Just received it. Singleplayer LOL: 2 percent CPU and 200mb #NEXTGEN There's a little mouse delay, but the game looks great. I wish we could tweak some additional settings, like AA and Mip-Mapping. Textures get mushy with time and the water glare can be a bit weird. In other words, I'm happy with the port guys.

there is a noticeable mouse delay looking around, but the rest of the site is great.

I noticed the same thing, mouse acceleration is also strange.

It's an unfinished port at this time. It runs on C++ so it runs super smooth. It requires some work to make it compatible with the PC players. It appears to be a mobile game at the moment.

Forgive me if this is an uninformed question, but what do you know about it? Did some people install Windows 10 early?
