Jason Momoa To Star In Minecraft Movie For Warner Bros

Aquaman and Dune star Jason Momoa is lining up another tentpole with Warner Bros. Jason Momoa is in final negotiations to appear in the studio's live-action Minecraft film, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Jared Hess, Napoleon Dynamite filmmaker, will oversee the project inspired by the game that is so popular.



Dune producer Mary Parent and Roy Lee will produce, with Jill Messick receiving a posthumous producer credit for the film prior to her passing in 2018. Jon Berg, Cale Boyter, and Jon Spaihts are the executive producers. Let it sing The video game hails from Sweden's Mojang Studios, with Mojang's Lydia Winters and Vu Bui also producing the film.

Momoa and Warners are releasing Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom in March 2023. The film is the sequel to Aquaman (2018) which grossed $1 billion. WME and Edelstein Laird are Momoa's reps. Sloane Offer and UTA are reps for Hess.
