A Minecraft build can be basically whatever you want it to be. This is a red flag for a person but it's actually a good sign considering Minecraft is one among the most important sandbox sandbox games ever. Minecraft inspires people, no matter if they're using it to run a Dungeons & Dragons server or to create a Destiny 2 raid.

This is why this fan decided that Minecraft should be used to build a complete Dark Souls map. gaming DanTay19, however, is not creating a replica. They are simply using the series as an inspiration for their own build. You can take a look at the final area thanks to a post they made on Reddit, or you can check out the full trailer on their YouTube channel.

According to the description, the team has been working on this map for more five years. All of it was built by them. The video is more impressive than the Reddit post. There are boss fights and a variety of biomes. There is also some fun enemy placements like the ghast that acts as a turret in a castle area or the magma slimes running wild over a blood-red region.

The description of this video also mentions that it will have mechanics familiar from Souls players. This could indicate that mods will be afoot to keep combat feeling like the FromSoftware games. We aren't sure how much crossover there will actually be with the Elden Ring-inspired Minecraft. However, we are very excited about the prospect. There's no release date yet though, so we'll all have to try and be patient.
