We all want to be beautiful. Let's face it that we all want be beautiful. Unfortunately, if all of us were really gorgeous, we'd probably not all stay in our homes and play video games. This particular writer, for example, is less like an insect and more of an unholy union of the chimpanzee and the slime from the Dragon Quest series. Reality can be so very harsh at times.

Of course, in order to deal with that reality we all have our favourite MMOs to play when the opportunity arises- such as right now with this week's WRUP. With the recent success of the almost-MMO Minecraft We decided to ask everyone how important it was that his or her own games be attractive. Check out the video below to see our responses , then tell us what you'll be playing this weekend in the comments! Beau Hindman (@Beau_Hindman), will be playing a little bit of DIGDIGDIGDIG all, and need to get ready for DIGDIGDIG before leaving for GDC. I may DIGDIG some time to DIGDIGDIGDIGDIG play some Minecraft also.

Graphics? Nah. It's all about the game.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna): I look back on my WRUPs from the past and realize that I am so boring... I'm still having lots of fun in City of Heroes. I think I'm trying to milk it dry because I know that when Cataclysm is out and my guild is ready to take off! I just got an all-new tanker and wow! I'm able to remember why I choose to use controllers.

I'm not sure if I'm a graphics snob since I play quite a few older games. I've even thought about trying the latest Ultima Online boats expansion. A game needs to have something to balance the ugly, a few bits of nostalgia, stunning gameplay or captivating stories. What if the game is stunning but the gameplay is abysmal? It's not worth my time.

Edward Marshall: If I have the time, I'll be playing Fallen Earth.

Graphics aren't a big deal to me. But in the present day and age, I think that ASCII is better than the very least.

Eliot Lefebvre - Final Fantasy XIV, naturally. I can't get enough of Final Fantasy XIV at the moment. I am currently on a quest for better armor and weapons. It is slow but it's fun. I'm also thinking about spending a few minutes offline to browse through my large collection of console games. Rock it like a hurricane

Simple graphics don't bother me, but there needs to be a reason for them. Stylized graphics are an entirely different thing from games that simply look bad. Of course, the distinction between "stylized" and "bad" is remarkably subjective.

Greg Waller: I have been focusing a lot of my energy and time towards WAR lately and intend to keep this trend going throughout the weekend as my new zealot takes on Badlands through Tier 3. Regarding the bonus question: Eye candy is not an excellent game. I can live with poor graphics, but if the gameplay is better.

Jef Reahard: I will be playing Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, specifically Rush's 2112, since I just enjoyed blasting my eardrums live in Atlanta last night. Yes, I know that music games are all the rage in 2007 but whatever. If I manage any MMOs, it will be my usual AoC/EQII along with a small side dish FFXIV.

Krystalle Voecks (@Krystalle) She said: I'm reinstalling everything after I upgraded my desktop, so I foresee many, many many hours of download and install fun this weekend. Other than that, it's more Vanguard and I've spent some time reading the old Masquerade WoD sourcesbooks.

As for graphics Let's face it: we like pretty. One Shots is a great example of this. However, I don't believe it's the end-all-be-all of an experience. Minecraft is a hit because it's enjoyable and lets people be creative and not because it's visually stunning.

Lisa Poisso, @emused: We were looking over old WoW alts, and came up with the new race/class combination for Cataclysm. The graphics were not as important to me until I went back to read original EQ. If EverQuest's graphics were upgraded to match current standards, I'd play it again in no time. But as it stands, the graphics are a major turn-off.

Patrick Mackey: My computer is experiencing some issues at the moment. If it can be fixed, World of Tanks will be my next game. I'll be spending some time playing Champions too; I heard that Demonflame was coming out on Friday, PTS.

StarCraft II is played at the lowest graphic settings. However, Minecraft fails because things aren't easily visible in that game. Visuals are supposed to tell the player what's happening in the game. If it's not clear then the game's art designers have failed.
