System Restore is the first line of defense and can take you back to a time before the issue started like a time machine. It is possible to undo it in the event that it isn't working. You can go through the tutorial first, and then restore to the point you were before it started. If System Restore is not enabled on your C drive, then do that now so it's possible to enable it in the near future.

If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-s...

Even if it is the first time you tried the steps I provide I suggest you repeat them in order.

1) Run the Store apps troubleshooter from Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshoot.

2) Search for and install game updates on Microsoft Store app > Hub (three dots on top right) > Updates.

3) Try Resetting Minecraft in Windows Settings > Apps > Features & Apps > Minecraft > Advanced Options > Repair or Reset. Restart your PC and try again.

If none of these work, uninstall Minecraft from Settings, restart your computer, and reinstall MS Store Hub (three dots in the upper right corner of the Store app).

4) The driver for the Display is so critical that updating it often is not enough. We must do everything to get it working properly.

You can upgrade the driver for your Display via the PC or Display adapter manufacturer's Support downloads web page. This will provide the exact model number, HP Serial No. or Dell Service Tag - as shown on the sticker on your PC.

You can also look for BIOS/UEFI firmwares, newer chipsets, network, sound, and other drivers by right-clicking the Start Menu.

If this doesn't give you the latest or ideal driver for what you need, compare it to the driver offered by the Intel driver update Utility here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/... or the Nvidia Update utility here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=e... or the AMD autodect utility here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/P...

Display issues can be solved by rolling back or uninstalling the driver via the Display Device > Driver tab. Then restart your computer to reinstall the driver.

You can also test older drivers by using Device Manager > Display device> Driver tab > Update Driver> Browse > Let me Select.

This will inform you that you have tried every option in addition to Windows Update drivers.

You can adjust the resolution of your screen until it looks great. Go to Settings > System > Display.

5) If nothing else helps then contact Minecraft Support here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I hope that you find this information useful. You are welcome to ask any questions and keep me informed. If you're not willing to let me know if my article solved your issue I'll continue to work with you until it's resolved.
